It is about time that we start holding people accountable for their actions, and lack thereof in Haiti.

It seems that we have become immune to those tragedies, and Haitians' lives are worth zero. We need to start naming names, and posting pictures of the culprits on the web. The diaspora should start putting demands on the government to do something about corruption in the country.

How old is The Peligre Hydroelectric Dam?

It seems that we do not believe in maintenance, and expect things to self-repairs over the years.

I do not know much about Peligre, but am very familiar with the name and it should be at least 40 years plus. We should start asking pertinent, and relevant questions about the dam. We need answers, and Haitians should not be dying of Cholera in 2010.
We have some young students who are extremely smart, and need to send them abroad to learn how to maintain things in the country.

They cannot all be doctors, lawyers, etc...I remember as a young kid how Acra (am not sure of the spelling) was criticized for sending his son to study haute couture in Europe.

They were shocked that such a rich man should send his son to La Sorbone, and not to become a tailor.

We need more vocational schools in our country, and should look at the USA for guidance.

An American plumber can make between $70,000.00, and $100,000.00 per year. What is the earning of an Haitian doctor in Haiti?

A couple where the husband is a security guard, and the wife a CNA who have two kids can provide for their family.

They can purchase a modest home, and live comfortably on the two incomes.

I forgive the 90% plus Haitians who are illiterate, and they do not know better.

You do better when you know better, and the diaspora needs to stand for them.
