Fasting is very good. It gives the cells of your body a rest for a time while cleansing the whole system.
But moderation is appropriate in everything.
Excessive water fasting may wash necessary nutrients out of the body. In my personal experience.
I fasted 3 days on water, and felt rather weak at the end, and tended to compensate by overeating for one day or two. Fasting however on a juice mix of carrots, beets, celery and watercress kept me feeling energized and active.
