Hello Maxcine,
I sympathize with you for what happened.
Your situation clearly depicts the lack of education among some Haitians authority.
I agree with the author: "God is Real," when he said put God first.
If you don't have a personal relationship with God, it might be a good idea to get to know Him. You will be amazed of what He can do with our problems.
I can relate to what happened to you. When I was young kid (10 - 12 years old) I remember how a Policeman or Military Member (to me they were all the same) stopped me once, just to look at the comic books that I had in my hands.
He looked at them, and told me to go, while he kept my books with him.
Sure at that time I was a child and I heard about how those people in authority was doing injustice as they pleased and got away with it. They could shoot any one without having to worry about justifying the reason of shooting.
As a child, I just had to look at him going away with my books.
However, I knew that, next time I had to find a way to not let this happen again but thanks to God the move to Canada was already in process, and we moved before I had the chance to encounter this guy or one of his fellows again.
That leads me to understand that kind of situation that you have been in. I am sorry to hear that and especially with your children for whom their father is their protecting hero got in that kind of situation.
I'm sorry to hear that but take comfort in the Lord. It could have been worst.
I heard some horror stories that happened in Haiti and the people are powerless about it.
It is a good thing that you put this on the Internet so that we, Haitians, all being aware of what is going on in our country.
I have red the project for the new Haitian Army. That is a great idea. It is time that Haiti moves forward and considers it own people.
Not destroying them as it is happens right now. Whether or not foreign nations are involved behind the scene, because they want to see Haiti dying in its misery, it is still Haitians that have to realize that they got to get united.
"L'union fait la force" We have to apply this One for all and all for one. We have to keep this in mind.
Therefore Maxcine, with that said, I would leave you with a word of encouragement and a suggestion:
Ø There is hope for Haiti, changes are on the way
Ø Get to know God and He will take care of you, and any difficulties you may face.
If there is any concern you want to talk about my email address is: diriche [at] cogeco.ca.
Bye for now I wish the best to you and your family.
