The simple minded only sees simplistic solutions after all who can blame them..

This woman is simply clueless on how businesses operate.

The issue here is availability of luxury hotel rooms in Haiti and not their price.

Business 101 supply and demand...

the fact that the hotels are always fully occupied in spite of them being expensive means that more needs to be built and the government is doing all it can to get them built.

No businessman in his right mind will charge less money when he can charge more. Haiti is indeed open for investors especially in the hotel business.

AGAIN the government cannot dictate prices all it can do is encourage investment and they are doing all that they can. The issue here is not the price of luxury hotel rooms in Haiti but the need for more of them. In other words Haiti is truly open for the business of luxury hotels and once more and more are built the prices will eventually go down. Let's agree that more investors are needed and I think the government is doing all it can to alleviate this problem.

Supply and demand determine price we simply need more hotels in Haiti.
