Are you stating that the oldest catholic cathedral in the Americas: North, Central and South was built in that part of Haiti and is still standing today?

I appreciate you for sharing this historic piece of information but your presentation of can be misleading.

Keep in mind that in many parts of Central and South Americas the influence of Catholicism coming out of Spain and France, to some degree was mighty.

I'm raising that to help you clarify whether or not your information was meant to convey that the cathedral in Hinche is in fact the oldest in the Americas or just North America, which comprise of only the US, Mexico and Canada.
