You Haitians are deluded and have a tendency not to think rationally.

When a country invade another the intended purposes is to misappropriate and plunder their natural resources, remove a military threat, and/or acquire more lands.

Haiti's natural resources are depleted.

There is nothing to misappropriate in Haiti because the country is broke.

Haiti did not represent a credible threat to the Dominican Republic even when it had an army. With respect to taking lands, Dominicans already have a good thing going on with their two-thirds of the island and they do not need to steal arid lands from Haiti.

DR invading and occupying Haiti would be one of the biggest military blunders in modern history, right after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.

If Dominicans invaded and occupied Haiti, DR would be hold responsible for assuming control of all the socioeconomic aspects of a failed state...

the poorest and most illiterate nation in the western hemisphere.

Furthermore, Dominican Republic would face possible military actions from other countries, and it would most certainly faced crippling economic sanctions.

However, we Dominicans know of certain first-world countries that would welcome the invasion and occupation because Haiti would then become a Dominican problem, not a world problem.

¡No somos tan estupidos para cargar con ese muerto!

By the way, I find it ludicrous that Haitians are worried about losing their sovereignty to the Dominican Republic, while their country is currently under a military occupation by United Nations troops.

I guess you think Dominicans are stupid enough to fight United Nations troops.

I find it ludicrous that a country that does not have enough resources to rebuild its infrastructures, build school, feed its population, etc. Want to spend their scarce resources creating an army of murderous thugs.

Go ahead, build and maintain an army you cannot afford, only to have the military remove every president that you elect democratically.

If Haiti had a military right now, Mickey would have been long gone.
