The Dominican Republic needs an army to defend itself from Haiti, not the other way around.

The fact that Haiti invaded DR in the past and occupied it for 22-years attest to that reality.

The Dominican Republic has an army for defense purposes and it's never been their intentions to launch unprovoked military offensives against neighboring countries.

Haitians should stop deluding themselves into thinking that they will gain concessions from DR by building an army that they cannot afford.
