The Dominican Republic would not be a country now, if it was not for Haiti.

You may call yourself a developing country in order to give yourself some sense of importance.

I don't know how well you know the history bet both countries Haiti was not in this position 50, 30 years ago.

Dominican Republic is just as poor.

We are not asking the DR to help Haiti.

We are simply saying these Dominicans of Haitian decent since 1929 should not be stripped of their nationality and livelihood.

Also, You people are so quick to through in our face the aid after the earthquake.

That does not equate what Haiti did for Santo Domingo.Yet you would not have a country thanks to us.

You may call us the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

At least we don't pretend to be someone that we are not.

We are proud of our history, our heritage, our skin color.

we know who we are and we are proud despite the country's hardships.

And to correct Napoleon is not our beloved its Jean Jacques Dessalines and Toussaint Louverture that are our beloved whom defeated Napoleon.

Go learn the history!.
