first I want to thank you Wood for doing a great job at touring the country and keeping us posted.

Yes the government is doing a good job also at painting a better picture of Haiti and we who love Haiti near and far are excited at this new way for my beloved Haiti.

Better roads are a must for Haiti.

I lived in Puerto Rico and sometime we would wake up and decided to do a "day out" by just driving touring the whole island in four hours the scenery is beautiful...I live on a small island called Andros one of the bahamas island with no trafic light, because there was no need for them....

from one end to the next no dirt roads only when if you decides to go off the main roads to the farms or ocean ...

I visited the island of Ischia of Italy, tour the whole island in three hours with stops to some tourist attractions just my husband and I with a map provided from the car rental office ...

and if you ever go on cruises to the many carribean islands with a taxi fare of about $40 you can tour some major part of each of these islands which I have done ...

I mentioned my experiences to remind everyone Haiti is bigger and have a lot protential mainly in the local tourist but if we don't have and upgrade our roads tourist life in Haiti will short live....

one last when people ask how long does it take to go from port au prince to Gonaives I would often compare that to a drive from the heart of Orlando to West Palm Beach in Florida which is about 2 1/2 hours on I95 or Turnpike ...

but because of the conditions of the route national it will take at least 4 hours if not all day ...

there is need to focus to roads to circulate goods, health, prosperity of the my beloved Haiti
