Haitians need to stop trying to emulate the USA, which is an absurdity in its obscene spending power for junk

When are people going to understand and realize that the actual celebration of Christmas has nothing to do with the commercial world which has exploited this religious holy day.

You can thank the USA for their spirit of capitalism for exploiting every religious holy day that can bring in $$$.

The Birth of Christ will still be celebrated and Haitians will be in their churches singing, praying, laughing, enjoying family and each other's company.

Hopefully the only thing missing will be Santa Claus who really has nothing to do with the sacredness of this day.

Haitians need to stop trying to emulate the USA, which is an absurdity in its obscene spending power for junk. Perhaps the Haitians can show us how to really celebrate this event as it should be celebrated.

What is sad is that they will have little food to give their children on this day. The greater tragedy is that there will be no pumpkin soup on Jan.1st.
