In other countries around the world and in the rest of the West Indies, People are not allowed to bury their dead without a medical doctor signed death certificate.

If someone dies at home who were not under the care of a medical doctor, the relatives of that person must have the permission of a doctor before the person is buried.

Hence, if the person dies without any apparent cause, the doctor has to perform an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.

If there is any doubt, the police is called in to investigate.

Haiti seems an exception= very primitive.
