idealistic, unfortunately not pratical

Interesting, it would appear that we are forgetting one thing about all those past civilizations: they were rich, they had lots of resources, and most importantly they had free labor (SLAVES).

Haiti is not rich (well not the way it needs to be), we lack the resources, and no Haitian is going to work for nothing.

People keep on saying the same thing the solution to Haiti's problems is education this is more of a long-term solution, however in order to implement it we must create a short term solution first: JOBS. Like they say: sak vid pa Kanpe.

I don't think I fully understand what you mean by we have the men power and I would appreciate it if you were to elaborate on that. If someone were to ask me what is the solution to Haiti's problems I would say decentralization.

It would create jobs, create roads, create schools etc. However to do so we must give people an incentive to want to leave the capital.

And that is why I said that solving problems such as electricity and water distribution are not easy. The problem is not that we don't have enough water or electricity it is that we have a conglomerate of people in one location and thus don't have the means to meat such high demands.

However I am interested on how easy it is to solve those problems and would like to listen to some of your ideas.

There is one last thing that I would like to share with you. I am a huge advocate of people being inherently good; and I sincerely believe that all Haitian politicians go in their first day at the office thinking that they are going to do Good, but the unfortunate thing is that they are never prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead and thus become corrupted.

One again have a good night every body

David
