Emmanuel Roy, a dangerous wounded animal
By: Ama Riché

Like a wounded animal, Emmanuel Roy has become aggressive and borderline evil. Frightened and in pain, he has dedicated his remaining few days of freedom to attack and libel the Haitian Prime Minister.

As of this coming February 5th, Mr. Roy will trade his name for a number.

He will go from Emmanuel Roy to Inmate or Convict # 675890 or something along that line.

Already convicted of wire fraud and grand theft among other charges, one would think that the former lawyer would spend the days he has left as a free man with his family, enjoying some home cooked meal and fine restaurants.

Reading his unwarranted attacks on the Prime Minister leads me to question his mental health.

Facing 87 long months away from family, friends and loved ones should be enough to sober up and humble any straight thinking human being.

On the other hand, he finds it therapeutic to attack a public servant.

In my last article I asked the question: Who is Emmanuel Roy?

We found out that the disgraced lawyer was a crooked individual whose conduct was qualified by a federal judge as "disgusting, abhorrent" and the "most outrageous" he'd seen in 25 years on the bench.

Emmanuel Roy was permanently disbarred by the State of New York and Florida, following a 24 court order after he was found in contempt for violating the terms of an Oct. 19, 2010, court order.

Despite receiving numerous notifications from the court clerk that he was not admitted to practice in the Southern District, Roy continued to appear before the court.

He falsely represented to the court that he was in fact licensed to practice, by entering notices of appearance, using another attorney's electronic filing number.

Here is a man who has lost every civil rights that the rest of us take for granted and instead of reflecting on the wrong he has done to society, he is engaging in desperate efforts to reinvent himself by slandering the Prime Minister of Haiti.

Since his conviction, Emmanuel Roy has lost his right to vote, to serve on a jury. Mr. Roy is no longer entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts of those who represent them as public officials and public employees.

Even after his release 7 long years from now, as a convicted felon he will face long-term legal consequences, including disenfranchisement, exclusion from obtaining certain licenses, such as a visa, or professional licenses required in order to legally operate, exclusion from purchase and possession of firearms, ammunition and body armor, ineligibility for serving on a jury, ineligibility for government assistance or welfare.

In jail, he will not have access to a computer to spew his hatred and should also be denied the right to write.

It is beyond imagination that the future resident of a 6X8 prison cell chooses to create and make up stories about others who are better off than he is instead of planning his next life. As of February 5th, Mr. Roy will trade his suits for a set of 3 uniforms, a belt, underwear, tee shirts, and black work shoes.

He will be expected to keep his uniform clean and shoes shined.

I would like to offer this last piece of advice to the jailbird.

Mr. Roy, as you enjoy the next 7 days in the hole, should you drop the soap, don't even think about picking it up. Your fellow inmates may get the wrong idea. Protect your backside
