The problem is the Dominicans don't even know who they are. They have an identity problem.

They called themselves 'INDIO' so not to be called or identified as blacks.

They believe that they are a mix of Spanish and Indians that once lived on Hispaniola.

However, if history serves me right, those Indians were decimated by forced labor by the Spaniards.

That is where we (descendants) African slaves were introduced on the island.

So they are black just like us. And the Dominicans feel that they would be far ahead if we had not occupy them for such a long period.

This is why they hate us.
