Do you consider Creole as a language?

French is a beautiful language.

The question is like the author says, French is used to divide in Haiti.

Even in speaking creole some people would insert some French, so that to prove he is educated.

I went to Catholic Schools in Haiti.

You can get some serious punishement for speaking creole. Many damages have been done, perhaps beyond repair.

To get something done in HAITI, French has to be spoken.

It will be ok to speak it if some one was teaching it to the masses. Many debates should follow.

You often find Haitians abroad, will tell you they speak French, when presented with a French speaker, all hell break loose.

2 je kontre manti kaba, if you know what i mean. This great divide French, Creole, Mulatto, Grimo, blan, misie noi anpil, rich, classe moyenne with many families living in poverty, or in the slums of Bel Air, Carrefour Feuilles, Carrefour, Rue de Lenterrement, Morne Lazare.

Like Lincoln said, God must hve love the masses, that is why he created so many. I can certainly speak French, as Haitian, as long as I have the good intentions in mind for the rest that do not speak it. If I'm calling for Haitians living in the U.S to give back to the poor in Haiti, to do something for the myriad of little kids, some as young as 9 yrs old, that hang on your car windows driving through the streets of Port au Prince, wether stated in French would resonate well. If education is the key to success, and speaking French, is an educated class language, let's teach to speak French.

You would bring about the great equalizer..., I can go on forever...
