Traffic Accidents in Haiti - Dangerous Roads

People in the area said the truck's axle broke as it started coming down the hill and, within seconds, it flipped over.

Luckily no one was injured in this accident but it is very common in Haiti to see these type of accidents.

Most of the roads in Haiti are steep, narrow, rocky and winding roads and there are many big old trucks, like the one in the picture, transporting tons of merchandise.

Sometimes there are passengers on top of this merchandise and when, God forbid, something like these happen with passengers on board, many people die.
