Haiti Getting a Visit from the Secretary General of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

For the first time in 14 years, the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNTWO) is visiting Haiti. Does he have the power to remove Haiti from the '10 most dangerous countries to travel' list???

Secretary Genreal Taleb Rifai will be in Haiti from 17-30 Oct 2012 .

According to an article by Haiti Libre], One of the main objectives of Rifai's visit to Haiti is the adhesion of the President Michel Joseph Martelly to the 'Open Letter' to promote tourism, an awareness campaign sponsored by UNWTO and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC global forum of business travel and tourism sector in the world).

In the framework of the visit, Haiti Libre says, the UNWTO and the Ministry of Tourism of Haiti will also be signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening tourism cooperation between the two institutions in order to improve the image of Haiti as a tourist destination.

So... does that mean tourism will flourish in Haiti after this visit of the Secretary General?

I didn't read anything in plain English that suggested this was going to happen... Maybe my English isn't good enough!

I'm just wondering... Who has the power to remove Haiti from the '10 most dangerous countries to travel' list anyway???
