Haiti Tourism - Ile-a-Vache International Airport

Imaging flying directly to Il-a-Vache (Cow Island) Haiti, spending a week in a beautiful Island resort, enjoying a rum punch on Haiti's white sandy beaches, with absolutely no worries about what is happening in downtown Port-au-Prince...

Very soon. this could be a reality, not just a dream...

Haitian Prime Minister Laurent was asked recently: "Can Haiti become a new tourist destination?"

Read his answer:

Dec 6 2012, the prime Minister tells Carib Journal: ...we have decided to take the tourism development on the island of Ile a Vache, so there we're going to build an international airport, and then the tourism [infrastructure] to attract investors -- we have several investors already. There is a hotel coming up there [in Ile a Vache], which is certainly one of the nicest islands in the Caribbean.

Jan 12 2012, Prime Minister Lamothe tells Metro.us: ... This year we've already invested close to $400 million in tourism infrastructure. We're creating a Tourism Police. We're investing heavily in Île à Vache, which must surely be the most beautiful island in the Caribbean. We're creating an international airport for our islands. So, we'll make Île à Vache a new destination, with very high-end resorts, which will create some 4,000 jobs. That will put Haiti a different light.

So... What do you think?
