Haiti's tourism sector is already suffering the consequences of violent protests in the name of democracy.

According to a Miami Herald article, Haiti's tourism sector is up in arms over recent travel warnings from the U.S., Canada and France that have led to these booking company Expedia and subsidiaries Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire and CheapTickets blacklisting the country's two international airports and hotels as illegal.

What exactly does this mean for you, a traveler who wants to book a flight to Haiti?

Simple: Try booking a flight to Haiti on these travel sites and Haiti's airports are not on the list to fly from or fly to.
