Haiti Blacklisted in Travel sites like Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire and CheapTickets

Have you tried booking flights to Haiti or book hotel room reservations in Haiti on booking web sites like Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire and CheapTickets? You cannot because Haiti is blacklisted since the violent street protests of February 7 2019.

Haiti's tourism sector is already suffering the consequences of violent protests in the name of democracy.

According to a Miami Herald article, Haiti's tourism sector is up in arms over recent travel warnings from the U.S., Canada and France that have led to these booking company Expedia and subsidiaries Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire and CheapTickets blacklisting the country's two international airports and hotels as illegal.

What exactly does this mean for you, a traveler who wants to book a flight to Haiti?

Simple: Try booking a flight to Haiti on these travel sites and Haiti's airports are not on the list to fly from or fly to.

Those opposition leaders need to know that Haiti is a country.

its economy is partly depending in tourism; and those violent manifestations is an impediment to the involvement of the industry.

However; needless to say, these men do not care about the nation, but themselves.
