The Haitian Diaspora Million Dollar Challenge
Haitian Diaspora Million Dollar Challenge
The money will go to open educational centers in Haiti, but what the money will do is not nearly as significant as the powerful message we, as Haitian Diaspora, will send to the world and to our Haitian brothers and sisters.
This will be a simple measurement of our commitment to Haiti as its Diaspora.
{ }
When we are able to do this together this will once again reaffirm our belief "l'union fait la force" (Unity is power).
Over 3oo,ooo have lost their lives during the earthquake of January 12, we have until January 12, 2011 to be over the $300,000 mark, which is an average of $33.333.33 a month.
You ready?
log on to and donate 1 dollar to the Haitian Diaspora challenge, and if you think you are your brother's keeper add a dollar more for each person you know ( family or friends) who may not be able to donate, it is just that simple.
By the way, after you don't forget to check back with us as the website will be updated weekly to show our progress and we hope this will be a weekly rendez-vous for you as we try to once again make history,
Thank you.

The Importance Of Meeting This Challenge
The 200 year struggle since our independence has incrementally robbed us of our confidence to make history again. The true meaning of our creed "L'union fait La force" ( unity is power) has not been lived out and frankly many begin to doubt our ability to truly unite.
This challenge, in addition to providing a much needed boost and support to Haiti educational system, seeks to give back the confidence of yes we can make history again.
As our Haiti remains on life support we can't afford to have anyone, yes not even you, on the sidelines.

I appreciate you for giving such a useful blog. this website was not only knowledgeable but also very artistic too. There are only few professionals who can think to write not so easy stuff that creatively.
I look for articles about this topic.
I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite
I agree with you Jimmy, a lot of people are here to promote their organizations while they are demoting our movement to unifying ourselves, there is no way these people could be haitians, they are the ones place among us to divide us. Let me first respond to the idea that these organizations have been working in Haiti for a long time and we should be giving our money to them. What do they have to show for?
Haiti is worst off. if we are serious about rebuilding Haiti, we need new people and new ideas such as the Haitian Diaspora Million Dollar Challenge.
I would suggest sponsoring one student, and bring him/her to the US on a student visa to attend University.
LOVE A CHILD is my favorite organization, and the headquarter is in Tampa.
Mr. Bobby, and his wife have been living in Fond Parisien for 20 years.
I completely agree with you Getty.
I visited their website and there is no "about us," which is something organizations have in their website to give you a little background knowledge.
yes Unity is Power, but before the quake nobody, or at least me and my circle of friends and family, never heard of Color of Hope; and more importantly on their website there is no archives of what they have already accomplished over the years.
Haitian diasporas are taking initiative to make a difference, that's a good thing.
There are so many projects that could be realized like that. by example, helping orphalinat, financing sport activities for kids ect...
Before i support that organization, I wanna know who is the foundator?
