If you see your self gaining weigh for no reason it could be because you are not getting enough sleep.

When you are not getting enough sleep your body produces an excess amount of a hunger hormone called ghrelin. Too much ghrelin makes your body crave fatty and sugary foods.

Not sleeping well increases your risk of diabetes. when you are tired you consume more sugar.

A few years ago, I used to spend many sleepless night programming. In order to stay awake and alert I used to drink lots of sugary drinks. Little did I know I was putting myself at risk of developing diabetes.
