Kote Kob PetroCaribe a? When PetroCaribe is used to intimidate ordinary citizens

True story... A Haitian proffessional walks into a supermarket in Port-au-Prince to purchase a bottle of wine. As he stood at the register to pay for the wine, and old man looked at him with a mean face and said: "Lajan PetroCaribe a, w ap bay li wi!" (the PetroCaribe money that's in your hands, you will give it up)

It another part of the country, another man who substitute his monthly income selling plastic shoes and sandals in a small business, an unknown individual walked in front of his little business and said: "Ohhh... Se la lajan PetroCaribe a ye?" (so that's where the Petro Caribe money is)

It may sound like a joke but the people on the other side of it are not laughing.

Some people are embitterd when they see others have something they want. PetroCaribe is scaring a log of people!

En KREYOL...

Yon zanmi antre achte yon boutey diven nan yon market Pòtoprens, yon ti granmoun gade misye tou move, li di l: "lajan PetroCaribe a w ap bay li!"

Yon lot malere en provens ki ap vann sandal plastik, yon moun ap pase mande l: "se la kòb PetroCaribe a ye papa!" (Se an jwèt yo batize jwif)
