Residents of La Gonave Haiti call for independence of the island
A group of residents of La Gonave Island, Haiti,are calling for the independence of the island because, they say, authorities of the central Haitian government have never worked on its development.
48 billion dollar la gonave project
National and international steps and consultations are underway to promote the independence of La Gonave Island, Kelly Boucicaut, coordinator of a group called "La Gonave en avant", according to an article posted on Vant Bef Info.
During the Martelly administration, there was talk of the 48 billion dollar plan to develop the island of La Gonave this project was supposed to turn La Gonave into an international paradise island and a Caribbean business hub.
No one is talking about that anymore.
