The first news reports say it was a kidnapping gone bad and the Widmaier family was negotiating with the kidnappers; however, when Haitian police arrested a suspect, he said Gunther Widmaier died as a result of an "overdose of cocaine" since the day of his disappearance on June 22.

Gunther Widmaier was found dead in Pèlerin during the night of June 29, 2018.

Why was his body found 7 days later? What were the intentions of the people who held on to his body assuming that he did die of a drug overdose? The Haitian police is looking into it.

What do you think about that?
