The Happiest Haitian On Planet Earth

We are quick to tell the Haitian authorities when they do wrong but we often lack the courage to congratulate them when they do right.

I have been in Haiti since July 11 and I have to admit, there are more police in the streets of Haiti now than ever before. I have never felt safer in Haiti.

I have not seen anything, I have not heard anything, and I've been all over the place.

A big shot out to police Chief Mario Andresol and the new Haitian Police graduates.

The word in the streets of Haiti is that the new Haitian Police recruits are more polite than ever before.

I had the rare opportunity to meet Police Chief Mario Andresol and I thanked him personally.

Haitians in the Diaspora complain about in insecurity in Haiti all the time. You listen to Haitian radio in the Diaspora and you get scared. But be careful my friend, good news is a documentary, bad news is news, the more scared and insecure you become the more you tune in, the more money the media makes.

"Haiti-a Pap Jan-m Bon!" is the word I usually hear from the mouths of old Haitian people living in the states.

They can say it, they're old, and they lost hope for Haiti the day they chose to leave her and run to a better haven.

To the new generation of Haitians living outside of Haiti:

To all of you young Haitians in the Diaspora, whose hair is not yet gray, listen up!

Do not let the old people discourage you, do not let them stop you from coming home, do not listen to them, they are scared, they are institutionalized, these old Haitian folks are incorporated into a structured and well-established system.

They are so used to that paycheck every Friday that disappears by Saturday morning, they will never leave.

They are stuck in the American dream, a house owned by the bank with your name on it that you spend your entire life paying for, and a car that needs to be replaced as soon as you make the last payment.

Haiti is starting to fall in the hands of young men and women, men and women with dreams, men and women who are brave, men and women who have not seen dictatorships in 20 years, men and women who are in touch with the world online or offline.

I was once talking to an Indian guy and he said: "It's better to be a first class citizen in a third world country than to be a third class citizen in a first world country."

I agree with him 100 percent.

Nowadays, with the power of the Internet, you can run your virtual business from anywhere in the world.

Why not run your virtual/Internet Business in Haiti?

You can sell a product on eBay, have the product drop shipped from China, have your money deposited to your bank account and you can do it all from your roof top in Haiti. No passport, no visa, no boats required.

I've been there since the 11th of July, I am online all day, I have a high speed internet connection, I have a backup generator that runs for 8 hours on 0.6 gallon of gasoline, I have my laptop, I have my VOIP Miami phone number, I am in touch with my customers as if I was in Florida.

To the young Haitians living in Haiti, don't give up on your country yet.

Learn how to do business online. I swear to you, you don't have to go to the United States of America to make that Green Back. With the power of the internet, you can have that Green Back deposited directly in your bank account right here in Haiti.

Other young men and women are already doing that in India, Pakistan, Brazil, etc... We can do it in Haiti too, don't you think?

Not long ago, owning a cell phone in Haiti was considered a luxury, not anymore; nowadays even the maid has a cell phone in Haiti.

You can call her cheap phone a "Psaume 23, l'Eternel est mon berger" who cares, I have one too and it works just fine.

Let's talk about making money online!

Did you know that some people will pay you to play computer games for them?

Did you know that some people will pay you to do just about anything for them because they don't have the time to do it themselves and they cannot afford to pay people in the United States for that service?

Listen carefully, there are less then 10 million people in Haiti, we are 2 hours away from the most powerful country in the world and 300 million of the world's biggest spenders. They have money and they don't have much time. If you can help these 300 million people save some time, they will give you some of they money.

Here is what I want you to think about, and you think about until you give yourself an answer:

What kind of service can I provide to American consumers while I sit in Haiti enjoying the tropical sun?

When you can answer that question, you will be the happiest Haitian on planet earth!

There is lot of Hope for Haiti and the other Carribean Islands.

You said it right, we must have respect, and we must speak well of our nation.

The Bible says:"The power of life and death is in the tongue"
What you say is what you are...

Be strong, be happy, be encouraged for better days are coming for Haiti...
