Evacuations in Thomazeau Haiti - Lake Azuei Overflows...

It has been raining so much in Haiti that Lake Azuei, the largest lake in Haiti, overflowed. Many families near Thomazeau had to leave their home and evacuate.

More evacuations is expected in the coming days as more rains is coming.

There is a broad area of disturbed weather in the Carribean, the weather channel says, that is dumping a lot of rain in Jamaica and some that moisture is heading towards the Haiti side of Hispanionla

Why Lake Azuei is overflowing may surprise you!

The Associated Press reports... "Lake Azuei has had problems with flooding for years. Canals that are supposed to stabilize the large lake's water level have long been clogged with trash and sediment, leading to flooding. Hillsides surrounding the lake are deforested, allowing water and sediment to run into the lake."

Question:

The Urgency of NOW - What can be done right now to prevent this from happening?
