In Haiti, BAYE (Yawning) means you are hungry... True or False?

True or False? - BAYE (Yawning) in Haiti means you are hungry (GRANGOU) -- Am I the only Haitian who think that? or is there anyone out there who heard this before?

In Haiti there are so many Things that make you go Hmmm...

All my life, I've been thinking that when I start yawning it means I am hungry. So I run to the fridge and try to find some food. UNLESS the "BAYE" comes with that long arm stretch and the closing of the eyes in which case it means you need some sleep... LOL...

In case you have the same belief, read this...

Yawning in adults occurs most often immediately before and after sleep, during tedious activities and as a result of its contagiousness, and is commonly associated with tiredness, stress, overwork, lack of stimulation and boredom, though recent studies show it may be linked to the cooling of the brain. (Source: Wikipedia)

Yawning is also contagious... yawning is often triggered by others yawning

So next time wap BAYE... pa panse se grangou pou-w kouri al manje... You might just be board...
