Haitian Boat People! It's Happening Again!

I've been told that the economic situation in Haiti is not a pleasing one. It's true that in every country the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer but there is one major the difference between Haiti and the US

In The US, The rich gets richer, and the poor gets "WELFARE"

In Haiti, if you are poor and you have no hope, then you have 3 Options:

  1. Die of starvation
  2. Rob people / Sell drugs
  3. "Pran Cantè" (Get on a little boat, destination Miami)

When you get on that boat, Option #1 (dying) is still an option but you now have an Option #4 which is to get to the US and do what you could not do at home (WORK)

Haitians don't come here to rob people, they come here to WORK

To all the Smart people in the Haitian government making all the wise decisions for the nation: Thank you for providing my people with JOBS so that they can take care of their families.

Here is what BBC News has just reported:

"At least 12 Haitian migrants have been killed when their overloaded sail boat capsized in the Bahamas on Friday. The vessel is thought to have tipped up when the occupants panicked and ran to one side after the US Coast Guard shone a light on the boat.

A total of 73 people were rescued from the boat, thought to have been carrying about 100 Haitians...."
