Major water scarcity in Metropolitan Port-au-Prince Haiti following gas price hike street protests
Many Haitian citizens in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area are complaining about a lack potable water in their neighborhoods after the gas price hike riots that paralyzed the capital so much, water delivery was a non existant.
Water Treatment in Haiti - Reverse Osmosis
Potable water is often transported in big trucks from various water treatment facilities to by sold to distributions businesses in Haitian neighborhoods to be resold in 5 gallon jugs to the population.
Access to drinking water in Haiti
With the multitude of roadblocks that were raised in the capital over the weekend due to the gas price hike riots, acces to drinking water was very difficult for some. It was impossible for potable water trucks to make deliveries.
