Haitian newspaper Le Nouvelliste recently published an article about Mole-St Nicolas that made me want to hurry up and visit town. I just don't know if my "boloko" SUV will get there in one peace lol...

The article is titled: "Mole St-Nicolas... an oasis at the end of an infernal journey..."

"Mole St-Nicolas. It is a bay with three shades of blue, historical sites in peril that tell a piece of the history of the world, the time when the colonial empires of Europe, driven by the desire to conquer and annex territories, leaving mountains of corpses in their wake.

In the extreme north-west of Haiti, Môle St-Nicolas is an oasis at the end of an infernal journey, a place to visit at least once in your lifetime.

When you read the article you will realize that although Mole-st-Nicolas is amazing place to visit, getting there is hell on wheels due to the driving conditions.

Hopefully President Jovenel Moise will change that with all the roads he wants to build in Haiti before his term expires.
