Haiti as a Tourist Destination, IMPOSSIBLE, Unless...

There is ONE SINGLE international reason why Haiti cannot be sold as a tourist destination... I just found out... If you didn't know already, this will definitely surprise you...

Haiti Open For Business

Are you ready for this?

REASON #1: Haiti is on the International list of the most dangerous places to visit!

There are no Bombs exploding in Haiti, no war, No rebels fighting to take over, yet... HMMMM....

Really... Wait til you see who else is on the list along with out little island Republic:

  1. Somalia
  2. Afghanistan
  3. Iraq
  4. Yemen
  5. Central African Republic
  6. Pakistan
  7. Congo DR
  8. Palestine
  9. Sudan

Yep... And because Haiti is the list of most dangerous countries, I also discovered that many governments are "putting obstacles" in the way of their travel agents of their goals to sell Haiti as a tourist destination...

So... Being on that list, as far as tourism is concerned, is like having barbed wires around the entire country preventing tourism money from pouring in... No tourism... No Investors... No INcome... Poverty reigns supreme... And Haiti continues to be the POOREST country in the western hemisphere...

What the hell did we do to deserve this? Nothing really... Unless LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE is a crime!

I read an op-ed article about this that really WOWed me, you should read it, Haiti: Rebel daughter of Africa

Here is just a tiny excerpt from the article:

"When you are included in that league [the league of most dangerous countries], the insurance companies refuse to provide the umbrella of protection for damages, injury and medical coverage. The travel agents have both hands tied, unable to pour into Haiti the million travelers that cannot wait to visit the last vestiges of pre-industrialization, where the McDonalds and the K-Marts are not king and queen...

Haiti's descent into hell started with a quarantine imposed on the young republic in 1806 by the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. In between there was gunboat diplomacy and plenty of ostracism from Europe and from the United States. Closer to us Ronald Reagan, the president of the United States in 1987, told the tourist industry to avoid that country because AIDS is rampant and maybe endemic to the country. Yet AIDS was brought into Haiti by Canadians and Americans who found a fertile niche in the country with young boys with parents too poor to provide them with education and sustenance...

As a plague when it is affixed on your back, the characterization is difficult to be removed, and the governments of the western countries blindly follow the lead of the United States. As a self prophecy Haiti has been sinking since, into the abyss of renegade and predatory governments that were too corrupt to lead the proper fight to facilitate the removal of the country from the list of the most dangerous nations on earth..."

Question: How important is BILL Clinton in this equation?

The article suggest that "Bill Clinton, the nemesis of Ronald Reagan... the Cardinal Richelieu of Haiti imposed by the United Nations... must undo the harm done to Haiti by Ronald Reagan... He should start the worldwide campaign against the listing of Haiti as one of the most dangerous place on earth, starting with his own government, the United States of America!"

Take a minute to read the article: Haiti: Rebel daughter of Africa, It would be unfair and certainly ILLEGAL for me to copy and paste it here... That's how interesting it is... I promise you it will NOT be a waste of your time.

Now I want to ask you an honest question:

What will it take for Haiti to be OUT of that list???

Forget how we got in... HOW do we get out?

President Michel Martelly has launched a campaign dubbed "HAITI IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS" I hope the leaders of the world hear his cry... If Haiti is to PROgress in my lifetime, this HAS to happen... It MUST happen...

Thank you Sir for this article, I've said it long ago that haiti was been plagued by the Western government.

The main reason based on my own research is not because they dont care, it's all about business.

Especially the Americans.

tHE OTHER WOLDS CAN NOT STAND OUR PRIDE AND THEY WILL TRY EVERYTHING TO BURRY US.

sO WE MUST DEPEND ON OURSELVES TO MAKE OUR cOUNTRY THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE.LET'S FOR A MOMENT THINK THAT WE ARE THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD AND THAT WE DEPEND ONLY ON OURSELVES TO SURVIVE TELL ME WHAT WOULD WE DO ??.LET'S IGNORE THOSE BIGOT CALMITIES AGINST US ANS LET'S JUST BE HAITIANS.THE WHITE WORLD WILL NEVER SEE US AS WE ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE SO DEEP INTO THEIR DARK HEART TO RECOGNIZE HOW WE HAD HELPED SOME OF THEM GETTING THEIR INDEPENDANCE.tHEY ARE POURING MONEY IN OTHER COUNTRIES FOR NO REASON JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BLACK.LONG LIVE

Dear, I have read your article and re-read it five (5) times.

I felt so so sad and at the same time extremely angry at myself, because each Single Haitian is guilty to what has happened to our beloved country.

First, to answer to your question (What will it take for Haiti to be OUT of that list???) MY ANSWER is simple; The government of Haiti should get a list of all countries that have put Haiti in this weird and unfair blacklist and give them 72 hours to produce proof of what they so called that HAITI is not a tourism destination.

I do not see this as an entirely bad thing.

Haiti should develop an economy free from the tourist industry which is reliant on the prosperity of other nations.

Too much competition and to much bowing down to other people's
