Did you know??? --- The original flag of Venezuela was made in Haiti and it was first flown in Jacmel Haiti on March 12, 1806 as Miranda's expedition prepared to make the final leg of its voyage to Venezuela.

Until August 3, 2006, Flag Day was celebrated in Venezuela on March 12, the day the venezuelan flag was flown in Jacmel.

The Original flag Venezuela was first flown over Venezuelan soil at La Vela de Coro, on August 3 that year... Since 2006, Flag Day is celebrated in Venezuela on August 3...

About the Venezuelan flag being made in Haiti, here is the story...

Miranda came to Haiti onboard a ship named the Leander. In Jacmel, Haiti, Miranda acquired two other ships, the Bee and the Bacchus, and their crews. It is in Jacmel, on March 12 1806, that Miranda MADE, and RAISED on the Leander, the first Venezuelan flag, which he had personally designed. (Source: Wikipedia)
