Diaspora Haitians Beware - Staged car accidents are on the rise!

Have you ever been a victim of a staged car accident? Beware my friend because staged car accidents are on the rise. There are lots of people out there trying to make a quick buck by defrauding your automobile insurance company.

Many years ago, I was driving down on Broad Street in Providence, Rhodes Island, when suddenly, the driver of the car in front of me slammed on his brakes. I immediately slammed on mine to avoid hitting him but my car managed to tap his bumper anyway. The man walked out of his car and said: "My neck, my back!"

I am sure there are many Haitians in this Diaspora who are falling victim to these acts of fraud. If you live in the Diaspora you know that any little accident you are involved in your insurance goes up for many years.

Why are people doing that? To defraud the auto insurance companies but at your expense. Sometimes their little insurance scam can cause you bodily injury amongs other things

The FBI says that these crooked collisions cost insurance companies some $20 billions per year.

I found a great resource to help you identify those intentional - staged - accidents so you can be prepared should you become a target some day...
