This may no longer be a wish... It may soon become a reality!
The Inter-American Development bank has approved a grant for $3 million to to help the government of Haiti test different renewable energy solutions with the goal of expanding rural electrification.
IDB energy senior specialist and project team leader Christiaan Gischler says...
"These studies will shed light on significant knowledge gaps. Our goal is to give the Haitian government a clear picture of what it will need to carry out a successful rural electrification plan using renewable energy sources"
Let us hope that something tangible comes out of this... A new Haiti, OPEN for Business, will require dependable energy, Yep... Even in the rural areas...

The thing is to start with community solar farms.
