Haiti - Daylight Saving Time WILL NOT Change this Year 2016, Haitian Govt said

No Need to turn your clock forward one hour on Sunday March 13, the Haitian government announced that daylight saving time will be adjusted in the year 2016...

Time in Haiti - Daylight savings time in Haiti

Before this decision, Daylight Savings Time (DST) will started in Haiti on the second Sunday of March... All clocks in Haiti will went forward one hour at 2:00am, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), according to the government decree of March 7, 2012.

NOT anymore! LOL...

Of course, if you don't have to move the clock forward in March, that means there will be no need to move time in Haiti backwards on the first Sunday of November -- Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Haiti started to follow the same daylight saving time (DST) schedule as the United States and Canada... The administration of president Jocelerme Privert decided to do away with that...

What do you think about that?

Actually, do not be so quick to judge; it's smart.

"Daylight savings" costs governments multi-million dollars per year ($434 in the U.S. alone) due to health concerns (distorts our body's internal circadian rhythm and "happiness" levels) and the loss in productivity.

Many countries are trying to be done with it.
