In the song, Wyclef sings: "All the masons who help build Punta Cana... They cut sugar cane in the batey... The students studying in Santiago so they can become doctors in Santo Domingo... Ki moun ou ye???"

"Natasha is a Dominican she is about to get married," the song says, "but their children will have no identity... Ki moun ou ye??? (Who are you?)"

In the song, Wyclef tells Natasha to to ask his "father" to change the law... They are Haitian-Dominicans, they cannot live with no identity
