Haiti - Dany Laferrière attacked and robbed, his iPad containing important documents stolen

Haitian-Canadian author and Imortal Dany Laferrière has been a victim of an assault in Port-au-Prince this Thursday, 8 May 2014. He was attacked and robbed. His iPad which contained some very important documents was stolen by these unidentified perpetrators...

Fortunately, there is nore report that Mr. Laferrière suffered any injuries from the assault.

Dany Laferrière says he doesn't care much about the iPad but he is asking the people who robbed him to help him retrieve those documents.

Drop the data at a radio station or something and keep the iPad... This is the plea of Laferriere who desperately need those documents

It's a shame to hear about these kind of things... On the other hand, I am glad Mr. Laferriere is OK...

No big deal about Ipad being stolen, but big deal is that it was an assault style robbery, not just an opportunistic robbery of someone stealing from bag left on ground or bag left in car or hotel room. There is a big difference.

So there is nothing peculiar about an I-Pad being stolen in Haiti.
