FLASH: Haiti - Police Officer Shot DEAD in Aux Cayes Early Morning Monday

FLASH UPDATES:

• Weapons were stolen from the UDMO base in Aux Cayes
• Another officer may have died from his wounds at the General hospital in Les Cayes
• Lots of bullets holes spotted on the UDMO sleeping quarters (dortoire) in Aux Cayes.
• The Prison in Les Cayes has bullets holes in it.
• The Undentified dead man in camouflage was carrying a Kalashnikov rifle
• There were attempts to open the prison in Les Cayes

According to an early morning report from Radio Caraibes, it was an attack on the UDMO officer who received many bullets on Rue Toussaint Louverture near Kafou Orel.

There was a transport bus involved in the attack according to the news report, a white bus the locals calls Pappadap. the bus was abandoned with its doors wide open near by in Aux Cayes.
