Haiti: Aristide Day In Court, ALL Street Protests Banned

There is a ban on protests today as former Haiti president Jean Bertrand Aristide goes to court to answer questions from an investigative judge on the unresolved case of the assassination of radio journalist Jean Dominique back in April 2000.

The Haiti National police warns the public that all protest are prohibited because police will be busy providing security for Aristide as he travels by caravan from his home and back.

Will the people obey this direct order?

The associated press reports...

"With the police ban on demonstrations, there were worries about possible street clashes. Thousands of Aristide's supporters are expected to show up outside the courthouse and rally on his behalf, which could lead to a confrontation with police."

Hmmm... What do you think about all this?

Banning any groups or a political party is dangerous in my opinion.
