Same cholera strain found in Haiti has now spread to Mexico

A South Asian strain of cholera that was introduced into Haiti three years ago this month has now spread to America's mainland... It has now spread into Mexico, NPR news says...

This is the fourth country that cholera has spread to since being introduced by UN peacekeepers in Haiti... The Dominican Republic, Cuba and now Mexico is now victims of a cholera outbreak that could have been prevented.

So far, there has been 171 reported cases od cholera in Mexico City and states to the north and east, NPR reports. One victim has died.

How far will the cholera outbreak spread before those who are responsible decide to do something about it?
