Africa - Robert Mugabe, the former of leader of Zimbabwe who helped liberate and destroy his country, dies at 95.

Robert Mugabe, the founding father of Zimbabwe, ruled the country with an iron fist for 37 years until his military moved against him in November 2017 and his people took to the streets in protest.

Mugabe died in Singapore. His death was announced on Twitter on Friday, September 6, 2019, by Zimbabwe's current leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
