PHOTO: Haitian professor Kersaint Berlins Belande burns his US Visa - Response to Donald Trump
Professor Belande stood under the monument of Jean Jacques Dessalines at the Place d'Armes in Gonaives, the Haitian city of Independence, as he burned his US Visa, expiring 20 October 2018, he said:
"I will never ask for another visa because I will never set foot in the United States ever again... This is a personal decision, this is my response to president Donald Trump, it is not emotional."

And, but, I bet Mr. Trump would change his words coming out of Tweeter or wherever if you could take his money and use it for the good of man
I don't blame him for being angry.
On my last trip to Haiti I saw a lot of animosity towards Americans Trump just added to it. It is sad when the leader of a country speaks badly about another
I respect his personal response to this. Of course this is a reaction to the offensive behavior of the US president.
Most Americans are embarrassed by the president's behavior but we have freedom of speech.
I hope the professor does not regret this action in future years when we have a new president with a different attitude toward Haiti.
The reaction of this man to the most recent insult of Trump is quite understandable.
I lived in America myself during several years.
