TPS for Haitians - What is the future of Haitian refugees in the US?
Haiti Immigration News -- Activists on Wednesday urged U.S. authorities to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians, a special immigration status for 50,000 refugees since the 2010 earthquake, fearing they may be thrown out of the United States.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was advised that Haiti no longer qualifies for emergency immigration protection... That could in turn mean the end of TPS for Haitians.
Activists are worried that that these Haitians may get deported back to a Haiti that was recently ravaged by hurricane Andrew leaving thousands in limbo.
