COVID-19 : No more need for Haitian travelers to quarantine in a hotel when they arrive in Haiti
Haitians returning to Haiti during the covid-19 pandemic are no longer required to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days upon arrival.
According to the latest news reports, a person can now quarantine in their own home. However, authorities will hold on to your passport and they reserve the right to visit you at your place of residence.
Prior to this decision by the government, travelers were forced to pay a hefty sum of money in US dollars to quarantine in a hotel like Visa Lodge and another hotel in thr Port-au-Prince area.
