First COVID-19 related death registered in Haiti Sunday

Haiti, one of the few places on Earth that had not yet registered a fatality from the coronavirus outbreak has its first death registered this Sunday April 5th 2020, a credible news site reported.

A very well-known lawyer and member of the Port-au-Prince bar died Sunday at a hospital in Puerto Prince Metro metropolitan area.

This lawyer whose name has not been revealed was over 50 years old, he was suffering from hypertension and contracted the coronavirus, sources said.

We should also note that a Haitian doctor living outside of Haiti told us that he is in a blog with other doctors Haiti, some of them have said that the man did not die from Coronavirus but this all is yet to be proven otherwise.

Je confirme que Me Edouardzin Morisseau du Barreau de Port-au-Prince est mort hier soir à l'Hôpital St Luc. D'après Dr Sherlyne Bourdeau du Centre hospitalier de Pernier que j'ai joint au téléphone, il souffrait de cardiomegalie(gros coeur)et d'une infection pulmonaire.

C'est ce médecin qui l'a référé à l'hôpital St Luc de Tabarre.

Dr Bourdon n'est pas en mesure de me dire s'il est mort de coronavirus.
