What's the difference between the TV on clearance and the new model?

I couldn't understand why the smaller high definition TV and the bigger one of the same make and model was the same price. So I asked.

I just so happens the big one was on clearance because the newer model came out.

What is the difference between the old one and the new one? I asked....

Cosmetics, the salesman replied, and it was 50 percent more expensive.
