Did IDB tell its employees in Haiti to seek refuge in the Dominican Republic?
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is encouraging its employees in Haiti to leave the country and go to the Dominican Republic instead.
IDB or BID in Haiti, Banque Interaméricaine de Développement, they are concerned about the safety of their workers and they have the right to be. Haiti is a mess right now.
This is according to journalist Josue Lexidor from the radio program Matin Debat which airs weekdays on radio Eclair.
In all honesty, Port-au-Prince is not somewhere you want to do right now if you have other choices.
I hate to admit it but it is what it is.
