TPS for Haitians - New legislation being prepared to allow TPS recipient to apply for a Green Card
While President Donald Trump and his administration is getting ready to decide whether or not to extend TPS for Haitians, 3 members of Congress are working on a new legislation that would allow every TPS recipient to apply for permanent residency.

This news bill, nicknamed the ASPIRE Act will allow everyone under Temporary Protected Status (TPS) before 01 Jan, 2017, to apply for permanent residency in the U.S. if they can prove before a judge that they would face extreme hardship if they are forced to return home, according to The Miami Herald
Under the new ASPIRE Act, people with TPS won't have to leave the United States and reenter to adjust their status. Instead, you an would be able to apply for permanent residency without leaving the country.
