Many small businesses in the Haitian city were we live are complaining less and less customers are coming in to buy goods and services these days. The holidays season is approaching and they are not feeling it. What could be the cause? TPS is one of the culprits...

One small business owner made a strange comment:
"The Diaspora is worried," she said. "With this TPS thing unclear, many Haitians in the diaspora who often send money to their loved ones in Haiti are not sure about their next paycheck!"
"Believe it or not," the Beauty Salon owner said, "many of my clients have boyfriends in the diaspora who pay their rent here, food, and to get their hair done. Income for me."
