Journalist criticizes law that allows 3 shifts of work in Haiti, he has a problem with the Night Shift
According to one of the journalists, Anyone working past midnight should be paid more money automatically because, according to him, after midnight it's time for people to go sleep.
Perhaps this man does not know how they do it in the United States, a country where people work all hours of the day.
Read this from the United States Department of Labor:
Night Work & Shift Work
Extra pay for working night shifts is a matter of agreement between the employer and the employee (or the employee's representative). The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not require extra pay for night work. However, the FLSA does require that covered, nonexempt workers be paid not less than time and one-half the employee's regular rate for time worked over 40 hours in a workweek.
